SETU FOUNDATION is an independent Voluntary (671 of 2000- Uttarakhand state under society’s reg. Act / 21 of 1860, registered U/S 12A, 80G and FCRA- Govt. Of India) Organization which has been working for social changes in Garhwal region of Himalayas in North India Since year 2000. SETU Foundation is progressively trying to be a part of India’s growing voluntary support to social development. The organization is continuously contributing in providing humanitarian assistance, accessing and disseminating development related policies, programs and making these accessible to regional and grassroots CBOs through nongovernment organizational and community support, facilitating social changes and development in distinctive ways.

SETU FOUNDATION, contributed its complete efforts in the field of medicinal plant cultivation, women empowerment, Solid Waste Management, Disability, Disaster relief, Child Health, Gender issue and Death-Birth Registration in District Dehradun,Chamoli, Tehri and Pauri Garhwal, and Haridwar respectively.

Where people are healthy, educated, cultured and skilled who can contribute for the development and growth of society, regardless of caste, creed, religion or any other such discrimination.

The Foundation is managed and governed by the Managing Committee. The office bearers and members of the Managing Committee are elected every year in the General Body Meeting. The Managing Committee has a maximum strength of 9 members including President, Vice-President, joint-secretary, Secretary, Treasurer, all the office bearers and members of the Governing Body are Honorary. The Secretary is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of the Setu Foundation. It is her duty to discharge her responsibilities towards the day-to-day management of the affairs of Setu Foundation. In order to assess the progress and outcomes of the Program or assuring proper implementation of the program office bearers and members also pay frequent visits to the office or center and program areas. The meetings of the Managing Committee are held at regular intervals to discuss the affairs and working of the Foundation.
